Artist Statement
My work explores photography as a way of seeing beyond the ordinary, capturing what the eye cannot and what memory tries to hold onto. Rather than documenting a place as it appears, I use in-camera experimentation to bend and transform reality, creating images that feel more like impressions than records.
I’m drawn to abstraction because it allows for mystery. Each photograph is less about the subject itself and more about the emotion, atmosphere, and memory it carries. Through unorthodox techniques and unconventional methods, I create unrepeatable images of fleeting moments into something new, something familiar yet unfamiliar.
For me, the camera is not just a tool of representation but of discovery. Each frame is a search for the hidden, the layered, and the ephemeral qualities of nature. I want the viewer to feel what I felt, the spark of curiosity, the pull of memory, and the quiet wonder of seeing the world in a way that is both recognizable and transformed.
